The mission of the Liberty Elementary school library is to create a welcoming environment that inspires students to become lifelong learners, creates effective users and producers of information, fosters a love of reading, and encourages problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.

The library program works to enhance academic achievement by integrating a curriculum that supports the school curriculum and providing a diverse collection that represents the school community.

The Library is the heart of the school. It is a learning center that fosters a community of collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving, and a love of reading. The Liberty Lions' Library is committed to providing student centered learning that enhances the district curriculum and classroom instruction while meeting the diverse needs of the school community.

About Me
I have been teaching at Liberty Elementary for the last 17 years. I taught first grade for 12 years and am now in my fifth year as a school librarian and reading interventionist. I am also the School Testing Coordinator. I am a Baltimore City Model Teacher and hold National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist. I love to read and look forward to helping you all find books that encourage you to become lifelong readers!
