The Liberty Lions' Library is here to serve you! Students and families are welcome to visit the library and check out books.
Pre-K and Kindergarten Students
Students in Pre-K and kindergarten bring home books through the Raising A Reader program. Students bring home 2 books per week. In order to receive new books each week, the two previous books must have been returned.
Grades 1-5
Students in grades 1-5 can check out one book per week during their library class. Books must be returned in order to check out a new book. Don't want to wait a whole week to get a new book? Don't worry! Book return and checkout is also available to all students during breakfast and from 12:30-1:15.
Parents and Families
Family members may stop by the library before or after school to check out books for students too! Adult family members may check out up to 4 books. Books will be checked out under your child's name and are due back in one week. All books must be returned in order to check out more books. Find great books to read aloud with your children or books to help them with their research projects!
Due Dates
Every book, regardless of age group, is due back one week from the date of check out. Our library has a limited amount of books and we often have a wait list for our most popular books. If you are not finished with your book after one week do not worry. You can renew your book for an additional week. While the Liberty Lions' Library does not charge late fees, please remember that others may be waiting to read your book and you cannot take home a new book without returning the one you have out already. If you finish reading your book early, you may return it during breakfast each morning and check out a new one.
Damaged Books
Remember to care for your book once you check it out. Keep it in a safe place when it is in your classroom, book bag, and home. Of course, accidents can happen. If a book is damaged, please do not throw it away. Return it to the library. I will attempt to repair it.
Extenuating Circumstances
If there are circumstances that prevent you from returning your book on time, or your book is lost, please contact me.
